• HOW IT WORKS

Light It Orange is the week 3-9th March 2018. This is a bright week of Shine-y orangeness where thousands and thousands of dollars are raised to help victims of family violence.

    Here’s where you come in:

    • Decide whether you’ll take part in 'Light It Orange' on your own, with your school, your workplace, your friends or any other group or club you are part of.
    • Click here to sign up as an individual, a school, a workplace or another group team and by setting up your 'Light It Orange' fundraising page.
    • Once your page is set up, you can choose to create a new team or join an existing one.
    • Get fundraising any way you like. We’ve got fundraising ideas on this website, and if you've got a good one you'd like to share, we'd love to hear about it.
    • Visit the Shine webshop to order Light It Orange posters, t-shirts, and balloons, as well as Shine Helpline posters, fliers and cards and Shine brochures.
    • Visit the Look Sharp website or store near you to buy your orange outfits and accessories.
    • Edit your page to tell us what you're doing and what target you're aiming for, and we'll send you more fundraising tips and ideas.
    • By sharing the page and telling people what you're doing to 'Light it Orange', they can make donations through your page. If you collect cash, this can be paid or sent directly to Shine.
    • See how you, your school, or your team is doing compared to other 'Light It Orange' fundraisers on the event page. You'll also be able to see how 'Light It Orange' is going on its goal to raise $100,000.
    • Please send photos of your 'Light It Orange' fundraiser to CarolH@2shine.org.nz.
